Minica found yoga through dance training as a way to maintain her physical and mental wellbeing in a demanding industry.

After travelling to India to complete her teacher training in 2013, Minica realised yoga was the route she wanted to take. She connected to it from a deeper space within her that she didn’t even know existed!
Noticing the similarities between the challenges of life and what happens on a yoga mat, Minica tries to teach and practise with an open and sincere heart. Breathing, alignment, compassion to the body and integrity are her focus.

Fun fact: Minica performed at the London Olympic Opening Ceremony and danced for Katy B and Jessie J.

Katy comes from an arts background with an MA in fashion textiles. In addition to this creative work she has always loved finding ways to express and enhance the body.

Katy has been teaching for over 15 years. She undertook a British Wheel of Yoga, Hatha Yoga course with Zoe Knott in 2004 and added Pregnancy & Postnatal, Couples Birth workshops, Certificate by Birthlight, & Meditation modules to further develop her learning.

Katy specifically likes to work with the breath, linking postures in flow movements, building a safe practice and working with strength as well as developing the flexibility required to reach the more challenging postures. Katy especially likes to add balances in her practice that allow the mind an opportunity to rest, as balances require deeper levels of focus. She believes that the journey is the most interesting aspect of practice and encourages students not to be overly attached to the end postures.

For Helena yoga is all about mental health. She first discovered yoga whilst at university studying Psychology and it continued through out her career in mental health, but it wasn’t until she trained as a yoga teacher in 2017 that the link between yoga and mental health became clear.
She trained with the likes of Dylan Ayaloo as well as yin training with Norman Blair, and several courses with The Minded Institute and Our Mala. Helen is currently training to be a yoga therapist with The Minded Institute. As her love for teaching yoga and the mind have produced some of her most rewarding teaching moments working with all those in need from abuse survivors, asylum seekers, and the London ambulance service.
Helen's classes have a strong basis in the science of yoga - weaving in elements of psychology, physiology, neuroscience, breath work, and mindfulness. Classes aim to balance strength and flexibility, regulate the nervous system, as the body and mind are one. Strong body strong mind, flexible body flexible mind.
Fun fact : Helen developed a fear of water from white water rafting with crocodiles. I got over it by scuba diving with sharks’

Sattva Yoga
Amanda Chacksfield
Helen is a Yoga Alliance USA certified instructor having trained with Sattva Yoga Academy, Rishikesh, India, guided by her guru Anand Mehrotra and the Master Teachers on their 200 hour teacher training programme.

Helen uses traditional yoga, Sattva Integrated Practice as a balancing and healing tool for the huge amount of stress the body and mind endure when dealing with the unpredictability of life. Helen’s mantra is very much the Sattva way “acknowledge where your body is at and grow from there,” so this this beautiful and challenging practice is for everyone.

Yoga came into Helen’s life 8 years ago when the menopause hit her very badly. Practicing Ashtanga, Iyengar and Sattva as a student helped her navigate this difficult time in her life. Then her 30 year career as a professional actress was brought to an abrupt halt when she underwent 2 Achilles reattachment operations in the space of 2 years and had to learn to walk again. As she became mentally and physically stronger, the transformative and healing power of Sattva Yoga became her catalyst to train as a teacher.

Fun fact: Helen is an avid bird watcher, with the Mistle Thrush, Song Thrush and Heron being amongst her favourites.

It bought more awareness to the body & how she moved.
After joining group classes she decided to train as a Pilates instructor.
Tanya went on to train with the World renowned Body Control Pilates and qualified in 2014.After a strong foundation with mat work she progressed onto the reformer.
Tanya has a passion for knowledge and enjoys learning, so continues to undertake courses & workshops to improve her movement and body understanding, which in turn supports her teaching.

Lies started her yoga journey 16 years ago. It has been a fundamental part of her life, a perfect way to bring some balance and overcome various injuries sustained from years of running and cycling. It has also brought calmness in a very hectic traveling life style. Her yoga mat was her constant traveling companion.
She completed her first 200h with Hassan Hassan (Studio Coordinator of Breeze Yoga).Subsequently she has completed some extra hours with Adam Hocke and Adam Husler.
Lies creates a safe space for people to allow them to connect to their breath and their body. A slower paced practice allows you to tune into your body and really connect with what is going on. Slower doesn’t mean less challenging–it does allow you to feel the poses and adjust to the person's need. Her classes are inclusive, instructive and she has a very hands-on approach to teaching with adjustments. And she isn't afraid to use a prop or two or sometimes even a wall!
Fun facts: She loves a good hug! Once in the hug, it might be difficult to get out!

Having worked as a personal trainer and class instructor for the past 11 years, Lisa turned to yoga 5 years ago in a bid to combat some of the stresses and strains she had placed on her body over the years and also to bring some kind of calm and peace to her otherwise hectic lifestyle
Having completed her yoga teacher training, and fully embracing what it opened her eyes to, Lisa knew that yoga was the path she wanted to follow and inspire others to follow too.
Throughout her class Lisa encourages a strong connection between body, mind and spirit. She delivers a physically demanding practice, whilst at the same time encouraging her participants to practice without pain and to accept each moment as their bodies being exactly where they should be. Lisa likes to use music and short readings as a way to enhance the experiences her participants have during their practice and as a way of enabling participants to take vital elements of their practice with them into their lives outside of the yoga studio. Lisa’s background also means that she has a keen interest in anatomy and physiology. She will use her knowledge to guide you carefully and precisely through your poses, educating you about your body as you go.
