The Benefits of Spin Classes
Spinning engages most of the muscles in your body, from your legs to your core. Some spin classes also incorporate the use of hand weights, or handle bar push ups, to get the upper body working.
Spin is also a great, low impact cardiovascular workout, which improves blood flow, stamina and mood. Many forms of cardiovascular workouts, for example running and circuits, are high impact, which is not ideal for those with sensitive joints, in spin your joints are protected.
Because it is such an intense workout, you will burn between 400-600 calories per class, or, potentially more if you particularly push yourself.
