Connected Flow Workshop with Chris Edwards
Sunday 26th February, 2:30-4:30pm: Letting go / Subconscious motion
Connected Flow is a movement experience based upon reconnecting our bodies with the earth. Drawing from release and floor work based methodologies, coupled with mindfulness techniques, Connected Flow gives the body an opportunity to find space whilst developing the strength to support it.
Chris Edwards is a London based movement practitioner and researcher. His class is a dynamic yet playful practice, designed to engage participants both physically and mentally.
Expanding upon key themes within Chris' research, these workshops will be beneficial for anyone wanting to explore a Connected Flow practice more deeply, as well as helping to develop a skill set applicable to all movement disciplines.
Please note - It is advisable that participants have some experience of Chris' weekly class prior to attending the workshops.
Sunday 26th February, 2;30-4:30pm: Letting go / Subconscious motion
Most of us carry excess subconscious tension in the muscles, it's an unfortunate part of adult life and the pressures modern life mounts on top of us. Within these sessions participants will begin by moving through short sequences drawn from the Connected Flow practice, focussing on shedding this unwanted tension and stress.
Participants will then be guided through exploration-based tasks. By reconnecting with the explorative nature from childhood, participants will have the opportunity to truly let go as their body carries them towards a better understanding of how it can move and function.
Sunday 26th March, 2:30-4:30pm: Gravity and the art of falling
Sunday 23rd April, 2:30-4:30pm: Solo exploration into partner work
£15 per workshop
