Did you know that there are yoga postures which are particularly beneficial in easing the symptoms associated with the menopause, such as hot flushes, sleepless nights, weight gain and lack of concentration?
Join this 4 week course with Katy, who will guide you through specific practices to alleviate symptoms, whilst instilling a sense of equilibrium and well being, including postures and relaxation techniques to aid you on your journey through this important time of life. All are welcome, no experience of yoga practice is necessary.
Research carried out in 2014 has found yoga may be an alternative to hormone replacement treatment. Professor Nancy Woods and colleagues at the University of Washington, Seattle, examined a range of non-drug studies, including herbal medicine, Chinese medicine, yoga, exercise and relaxation. The researchers found that relaxation therapies and yoga showed the most promise.
