Jivamukti Yoga
Flowing vinyasa sequences partners with Sanskrit chanting, breath awareness, meditation, hands on alignment, verbal instruction and relaxation. To set the intention, music plays an integral role. To keep the practice inspiring, the sequences are ever changing.
Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini yoga is an ancient art and science dealing with the alteration and expansion of consciousness, the awakening and raising of Kundalini Energy through the spine, activating the energy centres known as Chakras. The class focuses on pranayama (breathing work), Bandas (body locks), Kriyas (exercise sets) using Asanas (postures), Mudras (gestures) and Mantras (chanted words). Kundalini can be practiced by all levels of ability.
Pilates
A system of core strengthening and toning exercises, designed by Joseph Pilates, to enhance wellbeing, increase muscle tone, improve posture, flexibility and strength.
Pre-Natal Yoga
A gentle pre natal yoga class concentrating on relaxation and preparation for childbirth.
Scaravelli Yoga
Inspired by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli, this form of yoga encourages healthy alignment of the spine, working from within the postures to undo tension, using awareness of breath and the force of gravity to ground and encourage space within the practice.
Sun Power Yoga
Sun Power Yoga is an eclectic mix of three styles: Dynamic Hatha which promots alignment, Sivananda Yoga for subtle mind and breath work and Ashtanga Vinyasa for heat, flexibility and stamina. Carried out to music, this class is inspiring and energizing, whilst promoting calmness of mind and body.
Thai Yoga
A floor based class, carried out to inspiring yet relaxing music, in which the postures are carried out slowly and gracefully, promoting health, vitality and wellbeing.
Tai Chi
This ancient system of exercise is a non-competitive, self- paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Participants perform a series of postures or movements in a slow, graceful manner. Tai Chi is used to reduce stress, improve muscle strength and definition and increase flexibility, energy, stamina, agility and the feelings of well-being.
Vinyasa Flow
Students will flow through poses focusing on breath, strength and flexibility. A dynamic and detoxifying practice.
Yin Yang Yoga
A balance of energy and relaxation. Using yang poses (strengthening, dynamic and invigorating) to help warm and prepare the body for the yin poses (slow, long, deep stretches) which help increase flexibility as well as calm and quiet the mind. Leaving you feeling energized and peaceful.
Hot Classes
The studio is heated to around 42 degrees. Practicing in the heat dramatically increases flexibility which allows the participant to get deeper into the postures, making these classes extremely effective. The heat also provides the student with a cardiovascular workout which promotes detoxification and weight loss (between 600 and 1000 calories per class), without the need to stress the body by vigorous exercise.
Hot Yoga
Students perform a set series of static poses (asanas) designed to increase flexibility, strength, stamina, vitality, detoxification and weight loss. Suitable for beginners and experienced participants.
Hot Yoga Flow 1
This is a Vinyasa (flowing synchronization of body movement and breath) class carried out in the heated room. The heat will provide for a detoxifying sweat while you flow through a sequence of postures following your breath. This class includes a longer Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep/relaxation) at the end of class than Hot Yoga. (suitable for beginners and experienced participants).
Hot Yoga Flow 2
This is a Vinyasa (flowing synchronization of body movement and breath) class focusing on strength, flexibility and stamina. It is both dynamic and detoxifying and is a great class to progress onto after attending Hot Yoga Flow 1. (Suitable for experienced and advanced participants).
